The district meeting of search teams ended in Nizhny Novgorod. It brought together more than 200 participants from all 14 regions of the Volga Federal District, and the students took part in competitive tests related to search activity.
Penza Team under the leadership of Larisa Kazakova, chairman of the regional branch of the Search Movement of Russia, took the 1st place.
Oleg Mashkovtsev, Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the RF President, took part in the closing ceremony of the event.
"We have been implementing this project for 10 years. This is probably one of the best practices for forming a civic patriotic position of young people. The search movement in Russia includes about 45 thousand people of various ages, more than 11 thousand of them from the Volga Federal District. For 10 years, 446 detachments have been formed in the Volga Federal District, which go on expeditions to combat sites in various regions of our country," said Oleg Mashkovtsev.
For ten years of holding the rally, Penza search teams have become winners 8 times.
"The success of our teams is not an accident, but the result of serious systematic work. Search teams help to discover unknown pages of the history of the Great Patriotic War, preserve and pass on to new generations the memory of the immortal feat of our people. Thank you for this noble work!", said Oleg Melnichenko in his congratulatory message.
As part of the rally, search teams demonstrated knowledge in topography, archival affairs, first aid skills, orientation on the terrain, and handling explosive objects.
Igor Komarov, Presidential Plenipotentiary awarded winners with diplomas and valuable gifts.
The 10th district competition "Nobody is Forgotten" was organized by the office of the Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in the VFD, the Ministry of Youth Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the Avangard military-patriotic center, the Foundation for Assistance to the Development of Civil Society Institutions in the VFD, and the Search Movement of Russia.
