140 Large Families in Penza Oblast Receive National and Regional Awards

During the Year of the Family, large families in the Penza Oblast were honored with national and regional awards. By presidential decree, they received the Order and Medal of Parental Glory, while the regional governor presented the Medal of Maternal Valor.
In 2024, four large families were recognized for their contributions to strengthening family values and raising children. The parents of four children: Alla and Vladimir Lysov, Tatyana and Anatoly Sedantsov, and Lyubov and Oleg Zhavoronkin were awarded the Medal of Parental Glory. Darya and Vyacheslav Belyaev, who are raising 11 children, will receive the Order of Parental Glory in 2025. In addition, Governor Oleg Melnichenko gifted the Belyaev family a 13-seat GAZelle minibus.
The Order of Parental Glory is awarded to parents or guardians raising seven or more children, while the Medal of the Order of Parental Glory is given to those raising four or more children. Recipients ensure the proper care, education, and comprehensive development of their children, setting an example of strong family values. Families are nominated for the awards based on petitions.
In the Penza Oblast, the Medal of Maternal Valor is presented to women who have raised three or more children. In 2024, 136 regional awards were given: 123 women received the Medal of the Third Degree for raising three or more children, and 13 mothers received the Medal of the Second Degree for raising five or more children.
