The event for children and young people with special needs was held for the sixth time at "Chistye Prudy" recreation center.
The festival was organized by Ivan Zatsepin and his mother Elena Zatsepina, head of the regional branch of the international association "FOR HER", which supports mothers of children with disabilities.
"The goal of this festival is to show that despite limitations, a person can achieve anything with the right team and support. Every individual has innate potential that will eventually be realized," emphasized Ivan Zatsepin, director of the "Colorful Summer" festival.
The Russian-style program featured diverse workshops, exhibitions, and creative performances. This year's festival significantly expanded its scope, offering nearly 40 thematic stations, which is more than double last year's number, each designed to help participants discover their potential regardless of physical abilities.
The event welcomed international guests from Belarus - members of the Belarusian chapter of "FOR HER" (Lida, Belarus), who conducted a souvenir-making workshop.
"Colorful Summer" was held under Penza Oblast's "Accessible Environment" program with support from Governor Oleg Melnichenko, the regional Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Demography, and "Rosmolodyozh.Grants" federal program.
The festival aligns with the new national "Family" project's priority focus on comprehensive care and socialization for children with special needs.
