The region has hosted the annual fashion event of the year - "Know Penza" Fashion Week 2025. The organizers were the regional Center for Creative Industries Development of the NGO "Penza Oblast Entrepreneurship Support Fund" with support from the regional Ministry of Economic Development and Industry.
The "Know Penza" Fashion Week project was recognized as a winner of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives grant competition in 2025. The event is organized and held within the framework of the federal project "Small and Medium Entrepreneurship and Support of Individual Entrepreneurial Initiative" of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy."
Fashion Week opened at the Atrium Business Center. The day featured the final of the "Battle of Stylists" competition. Eight stylists were selected, each having worked for a month with participants wanting to change their image. The stylists used clothing from local manufacturers participating in the fashion week. The professional jury chose the winner - Alina Sarabyeva.
The final day of the event featured three fashion shows on the Sura River embankment with participation from 50 designers. Collections included theater fashion shows, children's and casual wear, as well as an evening fashion presentation.
First Deputy Chairman of the Penza Oblast Government Oleg Yagov delivered a welcome speech at the evening show. The event was attended by Russian Federation Senators Nadezhda Ilyina and Yulia Lazutkina, representatives of the Penza Oblast Ministry of Economic Development and Industry, and other regional authorities.
In total, Fashion Week attracted over 15,500 spectators, including guests from more than 10 Russian regions.
