Vice-Governor of Penza Oblast Sergei Fedotov and Deputy Chairman of the Regional Government Artyom Nikolayev, on the instructions of Governor Oleg Melnichenko, visited Minsk where they held a working meeting with Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Commander of the Internal Troops, Major General Nikolai Karpenkov.
The Penza delegation expressed gratitude for organizing the trip of Belarusian youth to Penza to participate in the Youth Army Patriotic Gathering of the Volga Federal District "Guardian," which became possible thanks to the support of President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko. The team participated for the first time.
The pioneers were 20 young men from the hero-city of Brest. The participants demonstrated determination, good physical fitness, artistic talents, team cohesion, and friendliness.
"The participation of the Belarusian team became an important event that strengthened ties between the youth of our two countries. We are pleased with the opportunity to work together on educating the future generation of patriots," noted Sergei Fedotov.
The parties also discussed plans for the next year, agreed to develop joint events, and signed a new cooperation agreement.
