The Governor and the Director of Sberbank's Penza Branch reviewed the company's performance in 2025 and short-term prospects. The bank confirmed its status as one of the region's leading taxpayers, contributing to increased tax revenues for the local budget. The growth in tax payments during the reporting period of 2025 represented a significant contribution to the regional economy.
According to Artyom Pastukhov, the company is expanding investments in its regional infrastructure, with planned expenditures exceeding 2 billion rubles over the next two years. This year, renovations are scheduled for 14 offices in Penza Oblast, enabling residents to access services in modern facilities.
Furthermore, the bank actively participates in the development of Penza Oblast. With the bank's support and that of its partners, the number of public transport vehicles equipped with cashless payment systems (including conductor-free payment in trolleybuses) has doubled, while the usage of cashless payments has increased by 55%.
"Cashless payment is very important for us: it allows us to track both passenger traffic and payments," the Governor noted.
Work is currently underway to implement free children's cards in Penza schools. "These cards give parents confidence in their children's presence at school, allow them to see what children purchase in the cafeteria, and even restrict students from buying certain products," explained the Director.
Oleg Melnichenko approved the proposed project, emphasizing its importance for Penza families.
