From October 30 to November 6, the Republic of Belarus hosted the II Belarusian-Russian Youth Forum "Our Banner of Victory," bringing together members of military-patriotic clubs and Youth Army members from Belarus and Russia.
The participation of Penza Oblast representatives was organized with the support of Governor Oleg Melnichenko. The regional delegation included 20 participants from the "Guardsman" Youth Army military-patriotic training program.
During the forum, organized with support from the Internal Troops of the Belarusian Interior Ministry, the "Young Guard" charitable foundation, and the Penza Oblast Government, participants visited significant historical sites including the Brest Fortress, the "Khatyn" Memorial Complex, and the Mound of Glory. The program featured masterclasses in various training areas such as UAV operation, tactical and combat medical training, as well as rock climbing and air rifle shooting sessions.
The forum was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Penza Oblast Government Artyom Nikolayev and Head of the Regional Youth Policy Department Ilya Kovalyov.
"There were no winners in the traditional sense, because the main victory is friendship. You've met new people, gained new friends, and these relationships will undoubtedly last for many years. Now we'll await everyone's return visit to hospitable Penza Oblast," Artyom Nikolayev addressed the participants.
"Heartfelt thanks to our Belarusian friends for the warm, hospitable, and generous reception. Genuine friendship is born here, starting from young ages. The event program, competitions, and visits to Belarusian historical sites connected with heroic past events have left unforgettable impressions on everyone. Thank you for everything, and good luck to every participant," added Ilya Kovalyov.
The forum concluded with a closing ceremony featuring the national anthems of Belarus and Russia. As symbols of friendship, the Belarusian side presented the Penza delegation with a brick from the Brest Fortress and a certificate for a tree planted in Khatyn. A Victory Banner was also entrusted to Penza, which will become the symbol of the next meeting on Russian soil during the "Our Banner of Unity" forum.
