For the first time in the history of competitions among youth law enforcement support units of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, the "Academy of Courage" includes a team from Penza Oblast representing the Russian Federation.
The Penza team consists of fighters from the police support unit "Tiger."
The Spartakiad commenced at Polessky State University in Pinsk, Brest Oblast, Republic of Belarus, on Tuesday, December 2. Participants include fighters from youth law enforcement units of higher education institutions in Brest Oblast, along with Penza's "tigers."
On the first day, Penza and Brest students competed in various categories, including a blitz tournament and a team presentation contest. Upcoming events include 100-meter dash, combined relay, volleyball, kettlebell lifting, tug-of-war, pull-ups, and swimming.
The "tigers'" trip to the Spartakiad in Polesye was initiated by Governor Oleg Melnichenko to facilitate exchange of operational experience and to strengthen and develop partnership and friendly contacts between Penza and Belarusian youth. The "Academy of Courage" competitions are held under the auspices of President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko.
