In 2025, Penza Oblast secured second place in the national ranking for results under the household gas connection program. Scoring 62 points, the region ranked second in the country.
This program was launched in 2021 by order of the President of the Russian Federation and aims to provide gas supply to private homes in settlements where general gas infrastructure already exists, meaning connecting gas directly to each property boundary without costs to residents themselves.
To date, 12,908 applications for household gas connection to property boundaries have been submitted in Penza Oblast. Of these, 10,947 contracts have been signed, including 1,613 under the full-service program covering all construction works and supply of gas-utilizing equipment.
A total of 10,303 contracts (95% of all signed agreements) have been fulfilled to property boundaries, including completed connections to 8,848 households (85% of signed contracts).
