A meeting between Oleg Melnichenko and Artyom Pastukhov took place at the Penza Oblast Government.
The main topics of discussion were the results of joint work over the past year and priorities for further collaboration.
Following 2025 results, Sberbank again holds leading positions as the largest taxpayer in Penza Oblast.
This year, the bank plans to create 114 new jobs in Penza, which will be fully remote. The data labeling specialists will be individuals unable to visit an office, with no special banking education required.
The Governor also noted the financial institution's active participation in socially significant regional projects aimed at infrastructure renewal, modernization of passenger transport and cashless fare payment implementation, digitalization of MFCs, and charitable activities.
"It is very important that this year you will continue participating in the modernization of public transport," emphasized Oleg Melnichenko. "Despite actively working on its renewal, the bus fleet still requires attention."
"Sber traditionally supports projects aimed at improving the lives of Penza residents," noted Artyom Pastukhov. "Last year, the program to transition public transport to modern payment methods continued successfully, innovative solutions were implemented in MFC operations, and an early career guidance program for youth was launched."
Preparations are underway to launch the "Algorithmics" project starting from the new academic year. Starting in September, 4,500 schoolchildren will begin classes in the "Programming Fundamentals" program for grades 5–6 and the "Artificial Intelligence" program for grades 10–11. The project is aimed at developing IT and AI competencies, as well as early career guidance for students.
The success of the "Digital Letter" project, implemented by the bank jointly with the State Lermontov Museum-Reserve "Tarkhany," was also noted. The project is aimed at preserving Russia's cultural heritage, using artificial intelligence to restore the poet's letters.
Oleg Melnichenko particularly emphasized the importance of work to create a unified information resource for assisting participants in the special military operation.
In collaboration with the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Demography of Penza Oblast, the creation of a chatbot for social support measures is being developed. It will collect necessary information from all levels and departments, making it simpler and more accessible for service members and their families. The solution is being developed by the IT company Sber Business Soft based on a system using a neural network.
