A group of experts from the V.A. Almazov National Medical Research Center of the Russian Ministry of Health visited Penza Oblast.
The working visit was organized to provide methodological support for the implementation of activities under the federal project "Combating Cardiovascular Diseases" of the national project "Long and Active Life."
The group was led by Svetlana Villevaalde, Head of the Analysis and Prospective Planning Service at the Federal Projects Implementation Directorate.
The two-day visit program included an audit of medical care delivery in regional vascular centers and primary vascular units. The guests familiarized themselves with the conditions of medical care in intensive care units, departments of endovascular diagnostic and treatment methods, cardiology departments, and rehabilitation departments of medical organizations in Penza Oblast.
Specialists, together with heads of medical organizations and chief freelance specialists, analyzed the routing of patients with acute coronary syndrome in each medical facility – the patient's journey from the emergency medical team to the cardiology department – and also reviewed inpatient medical records of patients with cardiac pathologies.
As part of the visit program, the commission examined the operation of a city polyclinic, including two offices for patients with chronic heart failure. Specialists also assessed the organization of primary vascular units at the Nizhnelomovskaya Central District Hospital and the G.M. Savelyeva Kamenskaya Central District Hospital. Both facilities are integrated into the routing system for patients with acute coronary syndrome.
At the final meeting, chaired by Deputy Chairman of the Government – Minister of Health of Penza Oblast Vyacheslav Kosmachev, federal experts gave high praise to the work of specialized staff at the regional vascular centers.
The proposals and recommendations put forward by the staff of the V.A. Almazov National Medical Research Center will be incorporated into the overall action plan of the Ministry of Health of Penza Oblast, aimed at improving the quality of medical care for patients with circulatory system diseases.
