Students of the Penza Gubernia Lyceum Bogdan Lupanov, Yaroslav Krivtsov, Dmitry Liyazev and Egor Troshin became prize-winners of the final stage of the J.C. Maxwell All-Russian Physics Olympiad for students in grades 7-8.
This year, the finals gathered more than 300 students at the Sirius educational center and the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.
The competition program included a theoretical and an experimental round. Participants had to solve a set of multi-level problems and carry out two practical laboratory studies.
"The J.C. Maxwell Physics Olympiad is a physics tournament of the highest level for Russian seventh and eighth graders. This result demonstrates the high level of training of Penza schoolchildren, achieved through the joint efforts of the students and their mentor teacher," noted the Oblastal Ministry of Education.
