The awards went to 778 school leavers who demonstrated high results in academic activity and successfully passed the Unified State Exam.

 “We stand side by side with the best young people of the Penza region, our honours students,” Ivan Belozertsev reached out to the guests of the event. “Today it is all for our graduates, you deserve it. We praise you for your great diligence during the school years. Your efforts ensured success, you showed impressive results, getting off to a great start in adulthood”.

 “In his address to the Federal Assembly, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin identified the priorities of national development. We need significant breakthroughs in economy, industry and in other areas of life. However, it is impossible to respond to such challenges without youth and influx of fresh knowledge, energy and ideas,” he added.

 “The Penza region and the entire country are relying on you,” the head of the region stressed. “Great thinker Jean-Jacques Rousseau said that a thousand paths lead to error, and only one leads to the truth. I wish you to find the only path, which will allow you to unlock your potential to the fullest extent possible!”

 The governor particularly thanked the teachers and parents of school leavers and bestowed the letters of gratitude to those whose children demonstrated outstanding achievements in their academic and public activities.

 “Nothing would make parents happier than to be proud of their kids,” Ivan Belozertsev summarised.

“Remember that you are the most precious creatures that your relatives have. Do not fail those who believe in you, love you and take pride in you”.
