From November 7th to 12th Kazan hosted the Russian Short Course Swimming Championship (25-meter pool). Penza team included 58 swimmers, 37 of them were training at the Swimming School of Olympic Reserve in Penza.
Aleksandr Kharlanov, Viktoria Andreeva and Roman Larin from the Centre of Sport Training won 4 medals in individual competitions - two gold medals and two bronze medals.
Egor Pavlov (coach Natalia Abramova) was the most successful from the members of the Swimming School of Olympic Reserve. He won the silver in men’s combined swimming relay. Egor took part in two finals - 200 m butterfly stroke and 50 m back stroke. In the former he finished the 8th, and in the latter came second, finishing with the results that allowed him to be awarded with RF Master of Sports, International Level degree.
Among other successful swimmers of the competitions were Valeria Pugacheva (coach Igor Chikov) and Sergey Isaev (coach Larisa Chernyaeva). Valeria was the 9th in the 200m butterfly competition, and Sergey was the best among the junior group.
Three other swimmers - Dmitry Petrushkov, Danila Lunyakov and Danila Egorov - passed the required standard tests for the RF Master of Sports degree.
