An International Gymnastics Tournament “Voronin Cup” has come to conclusion. The tournament gathered 97 gymnasts from 14 countries - Armenia, Belarus, Great Britain, Georgia, Egypt, Italy, Kazakhstan, Cyprus, Korea, Latvia, Uzbekistan, Finland, Japan, and Russia - under the arches of “Burtasy” sports arena.
The competition took place for two days - on the first day, winners and prize-winners in the team championship and individual all-around were determined, and on the final day - in individual disciplines.
It is worth noting the victory in the rings discipline of Grigory Klimentyev, representing Penza region. He scored 15,000 points and was ahead of more experienced opponents from Armenia Arthur Davtyan and his teammate Arthur Avetisyan.
Two more athletes from the regional school were not left without medals in this prestigious tournament. Alexey Lunev became the second in the vault, and Angelina Kosynkina won bronze in floor exercises.
