On April 24, the Russian Swimming Championship started in Kazan. 588 athletes from 60 regions gathered in the Hall of Water Sports.
On the first day of the championship, Irina Krivonogova, a representative of the Penza Oblast, took first place. Irina won the title of champion of Russia in the 400 m women's complex swimming, finishing with a result of 4:46.18. The second place was taken by an athlete from the Novosibirsk Oblast Victoria Starostina (4:47.20). Anastasia Sorokina from Krasnodar Krai took third (4:51.45).
There are still five days of competitions ahead, the championship will last until April 29.
