The Volga Federal District swimming championship took place in Saransk (Republic of Mordovia).  
Penza Oblast was represented by 80 athletes at the competition. They won 51 medals: 11 gold, 20 silver, and 20 bronze ones.
Konstantin Kirillov, Egor Pavlov, Aleksandr Kharlanov, and Irina Kivonogova received multiple awards.
Konstantin Kirillov won 4 gold, 4 silver, and 1 bronze medals.
Aleksandr Kharlanov won 2 gold and 3 silver awards.
Irina Krivonogova also won silver and bronze.
Egor Pavlov received 4 silver and 2 bronze medals.
In total, 690 athletes from 14 regions of the Russian Federation competed for medals.
The results shown at the Federal District Championship are taken into account when forming national teams participating in the Russian Championship (pool 25 m), which will be held in Kazan from November 20 to 25. The results of the Federal District championship are taken into account for selection for the All-Russian competitions "Reserve of Russia", which will be held in Saransk from November 27 to December 1.
