Penza residents received awards at the United Games of the Special Olympics, which were held in Kazan. Representatives of the region won multiple medals.
Victoria Kudryavtseva won two gold medals in swimming competitions at distances of 25 m backstroke and 50 m freestyle.
Aleksandr Fokin took third place at the same distance among men.
Nadezhda Ilyina finished first in the 25 m freestyle.
Valery Selyukov and Arina Zolotar distinguished themselves in cross-country skiing competitions. At a distance of 50 meters, Valery won the silver medal, and Arina won the bronze award. The awards were presented to the skiers by the President of the Russian Ski Racing Federation Elena Vyalbe.
Valeriya Kazeeva became second in the 4th division at a distance of 60 m. Evgeny Yelmeev finished third in the men's race in the 3rd division. Representatives of the Penza Oblast Dmitry Kizhikin and Maryam Yafarova took 5th and 8th place.
