From September 6 to 10, 2023, Saratov hosted the II All-Russian Games "Smart City. Live sports." The event was held as part of the Demography national project.
The program of the Games included competitions in five sports: table tennis, 3x3 basketball, badminton, chess, and functional all-around.
Penza team took 2nd place in basketball: Andrey Gorodnichev, Oleg Korchev, Evgeny Lekarev, Andrey Mikhailov contributed to the overall success.
Penza residents also won silver medals in table tennis team competition: Ilya Denisov and Natalia Nakaryakova took silver. In addition, Ilya and Natalia took first place in the mixed doubles, and Natalia showed the second result among women.
Svetlana Lukyanova took the second place in the women's chess competition.
Penza athletes made the top 6 in badminton and functional all-around competitions.
Stanislav Sudakov, Andrey Afanasyev, Tatiana Didikina, Ellina Molokova took part in the badminton tournament.
Anton Nechayev and Irina Muravyeva took part in the functional all-around competition.
The Penza Oblast team consisted of 14 people – employees of regional and municipal executive authorities, specialists of their subordinate institutions, and representatives of enterprises and organizations of the region.
