The XXIX International Sambo Tournament for the Prizes of the President of the Republic of Belarus has begun in Minsk.
From February 10 to 13, 2025, athletes from Armenia, Bulgaria, Germany, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and the host country, Belarus, are competing for victory.
On the first day of the competition, Aleksey Budimirov from Vityaz Sports School named after V.N. Burmentyev represented the Penza Oblast. Competing in the 88 kg weight category, he secured several victories and claimed a bronze medal.
The traditional international tournament for the prizes of Aleksandr Lukashenko, featuring both individual and team competitions, has been held annually in Minsk since 1997.
