The second stage of the VI Summer Spartakiad of Russian Youth will take place at the Burtasy Sports Palace. Athletes from 10 regions will compete for victory, including representatives from:
The Republics of Bashkortostan, Mordovia, Mari El, Tatarstan, and Udmurtia;
Kirov, Nizhny Novgorod, Saratov, and Ulyanovsk Oblasts;
Perm Krai.
The competition is being held as part of the implementation of the state program "Development of Physical Culture and Sports."
Participants were welcomed by:
Yevgenia Bochkaryova, Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of Penza Oblast
Natalia Bezrukova, President of the Regional Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation
Vladimir Davydov, Director of the Penza Oblast Sports Facilities Management State Autonomous Institution
Irina Filatova, Chief Judge of the competition and a national and international category judge
During the event, Russian Master of Sports certificates in rhythmic gymnastics were awarded to the following Penza athletes:
Elizaveta Serebryakova
Sofia Soustina
Maria Nekrasova
Diana Mayorshina
Tatiana Moskova
Aleksandra Bykova
All the athletes are students of the Natalia Lavrova School of Olympic Reserve in Gymnastics.
The all-around and group exercises competitions will determine the best gymnasts who will advance to the medal rounds. The winners will qualify for the final stage of the Spartakiad, scheduled to take place in Penza from June 21 to 26.
