For three months, the region served as a national sports hub, welcoming over 2,000 athletes from 30 Russian regions to its venues.
Competitions were held at sports facilities across Penza and the oblast, including the Burtasy Sports Palace, the Voeikov Martial Arts Palace, the Saturn Velodrome, the Dorozhnik Stadium in Kamenka, and the Chistye Prudy recreation center in the Mokshansky District.
"As part of the Spartakiad, two second stages and nine final stages were organized, for which Penza Oblast formed teams across 23 sports disciplines. The region has demonstrated its high standard in hosting major sporting events," noted the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of Penza Oblast.
The competitions were held as part of the implementation of the state program "Sport of Russia."
